Rebuilding Together's 17th Annual Kickoff to Rebuild: Touchdown!

Kickoff to Rebuild is an annual NFL sanctioned event hosted by Rebuilding Together. For 17 years, Rebuilding Together has partnered with the NFL to bring our mission of preserving home ownership and revitalizing low-income communities to Super Bowl cities.

On the morning of February 3, 2012, Rebuilding Together mobilized hundreds of volunteers, past and present NFL members and players, Indianapolis community leaders, well-known national celebrities, and local and national sponsors to complete renovations begun in November on ten homes in the Super Bowl Legacy Neighborhood of Near Eastside. Rebuilding Together and Lowe's will also partnered with Carter's Kids to complete a new playground at the State Avenue Park on November 4 as part of the Kickoff to Rebuild Pre-Game.

Spring Rebuilding Day memories!

As RTS prepares for our 22nd Annual Spring Rebuilding Day, we're remembering the incredible projects volunteers have completed throughout the years.

One of our most memorable projects was on Spring Rebuilding Day 2010, where Howard S. Wright volunteers restored the home of Wesley, a disabled homeowner living in South Seattle. We hope you'll enjoy re-watching the amazing story by KOMO!

New look for the Blog!

The RTS Blog has a new look!

We thought an update was past due, and wanted to give our Blog a fresh start for this Spring as we plan for roughly 20 exciting Spring Rebuilding Day 2012 projects! (a little lumber can't hurt, right?)

A couple things to check out:

• Below our Blog title and on the right side ("Mission"), you'll notice that RTS has a new mission statement! We hope you'll share about our mission with others.
• We now have our official logo on the top right corner!
• You can now follow our Blog by email! Simply enter your email into the "Follow RTS by email" box, hit "submit," and go to your email to confirm your subscription. Once a day, if RTS has posted any new articles, you'll get one email with the articles and links to direct you to our Blog.
  
• On the right side, you'll see our list of Labels. These labels can guide you to posts of your interest, whether it be reading about our Sponsors, a Letter from a Homeowner, or learning about our incredible Volunteers!

Spring Newsletter

1. Spring Rebuild Day – April 25th – 23 Projects from Sea Tac to Shoreline with an estimated 350 improvements. Even “First Gentleman” Mike Gregoire stopped by one site.

Fall Rebuild Day is Scheduled for October 3, 2009

2. O’Dea Boys were put to work – 40 volunteers from O’Dea High School volunteered through RTS to help Parkview Services. These boys had so much fun, they’ll be back to volunteer in 2010.

3. On June 6, Curtsy Bella Boutique hosted “Shop for a Cause”, where 10% of all sales were donated back to RTS.

4. Set a calendar reminder for September 25th – Holes for Homes Charity Golf Tourney

5. 2009 marks the 13th year of partnership between RTS and the Center for Spiritual Living – Thanks for your continued support
