On August 31, 2011, RTS was selected by Bonneville Seattle Media Group and the Seattle Seahawks as the December 2011 Charity of the Month. Next month, RTS will receive support through Bonneville Seattle Media Group radio stations (97.3 KIRO FM, AM 770 The Truth, and 710 ESPN Seattle) and Bonneville's website, MyNorthwest.com.
To support Rebuilding Together Seattle as the December Charity of the Month, Bonneville Seattle will air a special news feature about Rebuilding Together Seattle on Seattle's Morning News on 97.3 KIRO FM, provide promotional and public service announcements (PSAs) on each of their stations, in addition to promotional streaming announcements streamed on www.MyNorthwest.com, and a $2,000 monetary donation from Bonneville Seattle Media Group and the Seattle Seahawks!
“Each month, Bonneville Seattle and the Seattle Seahawks are able to highlight a charity for their local efforts, as well as make a donation," explained Jenny Harvey, Sales Project Manager of the Bonneville Seattle Media Group. "Bonneville Seattle and the Seattle Seahawks are lucky enough to give back to those who give so much. We’re now in our fourth year of partnership with the Seahawks to honor local charities and their involvement in the community. Bonneville Seattle and the Seattle Seahawks have come together with common goals to serve the community around them, and both have chosen well with Rebuilding Together Seattle as the honored December Charity of the Month. On Tuesday, December 13, 2011 Rebuilding Together Seattle will be honored at Bonneville Seattle for the check presentation emceed by Ron Upshaw and Don O’Neill, hosts of the Ron and Don Show on 97.3 KIRO FM. The two have a close tie to the organization after the devastating hurricane in New Orleans.”
RTS thanks Bonneville Seattle and the Seattle Seahawks for providing our organization with an incredible opportunity! RTS sends a special thanks to RTS Veterans Program supporter, Mike Flood (Seattle Seahawks), for nominating our organization for this incredible opportunity!
