February 1st marks the first day of the
2nd annual 14-Day donation campaign
of Rebuilding Together Seattle:
Hearts Rebuilding Homes!
Looking for a creative and meaningful Valentine's Day gift idea this year? Starting today (and through February 14th) you can make a donation to Rebuilding Together Seattle in honor of your loved one(s). In return, RTS will mail your Valentine a special card notifying him/her of your donation!
The funds raised through Hearts Rebuilding Homes will be used to help three families on our waiting list:
Elleree (South Seattle)
Elleree is an elderly homeowner living in South Seattle with her daughter and two grandchildren. She is a widow of a veteran. She needs new flooring, security improvements, grab bars in her bathroom, new appliances, and yard work.
John and Rosalinda (Beacon Hill)
John and Rosalinda are parents of four children (two who are foster children) living in Beacon Hill. Their family needs a new furnace, porch step repairs, grab bars and handrails, yard cleaning, plumbing fixes, and new windows.
Shawn and Katy (West Seattle)
Shawn and Katy are a young couple living in West Seattle. Shawn has MS and Ankylosis Spondylitis. They have very high medical bills and need several home repairs, including windows, security improvements, bathroom updates for accessibility, a new stove, and new windows. The first 14 Hearts Rebuilding Homes donors will be featured on the RTS Blog this week!
